Jesse Petrea is an Owner/Director and the VP of Development for Altrus. He has been deeply immersed in Georgia’s home and community based services since 1990 as an owner and the CEO of Altrus, Inc.

Jesse is well known to all of the Georgia Area Agencies on Aging, the Georgia Department of Community Health and other state leaders as he has developed personal care homes in each region of the state over the past two decades. He is acutely knowledgeable of the laws and rules of personal care home licensing and the rules of the programs that pay for the services. His large network of contacts and his understanding of the programs have resulted in Jesse being invited numerous times to be a participant in the re-writing of rules for licensure of personal care homes and Medicaid waivers. He has also provided leadership to industry trade associations over the years.

Jesse led Altrus to become a provider of services under the waivered programs for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The company’s expanded service offerings include residential services in host homes and group homes. He was elected in 2014 to the Georgia Legislature as the Representative for District 166 (Chatham and Bryan Counties) and has made great strides in contributing to the betterment of business and life for the citizens of coastal Georgia.

Jesse is a 1989 graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
