Altrus Inc. is one of Georgia’s most respected Alternative Living Service providers. Altrus is a leader in the assisted living industry, providing services in 70 Georgia counties through our contractual relationship with approximately 300 family model homes.   We also maintain ownership and management of six residential care homes across the central and southeastern areas of Georgia.  In addition, Altrus was approved by Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) to provide Community Residential Alternative (CRA) Services in a Host Home/Life Sharing model. In this model, individuals with developmental disabilities are able to live and share life experiences with supportive people who form a caring family and household.  We have DD host homes throughout Regions 3 and 5 and are growing into Regions 1, 2 and 6.

The owners share over 150 years of experience in the industry and are strong advocates for home and community based services, Medicaid waivers, and Olmstead initiatives. Every day, our staff are working to provide individuals with good wholesome community placements and thereby prevent institutional placement.
